One of the best places (if not the best) we have stayed out. Beautifully restored, immaculately maintained, and aesthetically pleasing. The yard was breathtaking! We will definitely be back the next time we are in the north coast area of California! And, one more thing (probably the most important) the hosts were responsive, gracious, and accommodating.

This cottage was just the right thing we needed before our New Years Eve. The cottage was extremely comfortable and super cute. Loved the backyard and it's secret trail. Everything was aptly provided to us by Jo. Jo was also an amazing host. All instructions were super clear and everything provided. Love their cute dog Sunny. We went with 2 of our own dogs and they loved the backyard. The morning were absolutely beautiful. If you're looking for something quite, calm and serene, this is just the write spot.

Loved staying at Jo's place. It was warm, welcoming and soo charming. We loved the piano in the living room, the deer frolicking around the property, and the attention to detail, such as the book collection. We didn't mind staying in when we had a rainy day during our stay. We appreciated that it was very baby friendly - with a crib, diaper pail, and baby booster seat provided, along with a fitted sheet and baby towel.

My husband and I and our Golden Retriever mix doggie had a beautiful two day vacation staying at Jo’s place between Ft. Bragg and Mendocino. The door and the house were even decorated for the season! It was such a warm hearted feeling in this charming small home. The quirks in the layout were not troubling. We enjoyed the awesome wooded location too! The house was decorated and furnished with great care and much soulfulness! Only wishing, we might have stayed longer. The bedsheets were extraordinarily comfortable! We slept so well!

This place exceeded my expectations. My family stayed here for a weekend getaway and we loved it a lot. The place is peaceful and serene and we love that a family of deer always stop by in the morning. Aside from that the place is clean and exactly like the description. Highly recommend the place for anyone planning to stay in Fort Bragg

We stayed at Jo’s place (my wife, friend, and 2 year-old toddler) and had an amazing time. Not only is the spot exactly as described but had plenty of child-related things (crib, booster seat, etc) which made our stay a nice break from needing to bring so many supplies with us. This was also my friend’s first trip to California/The US— and what a perfect one. The deer which regularly visited the apple orchard in the backyard were also an awesome addition. We would 100% stay here again. Thanks, Jo!

A sweet cottage perfect for a couple or small family. The property is beautiful and peaceful as well as being safe for kids and dogs. We were appreciative of the privacy afforded by the property and its proximity to all that the Mendocino Coast has to offer. Thank you to our hosts for a lovely stay. Wife and I had a wonderful stay. The home was super clean and cozy. The property is very peaceful and private. Location was a great launching off point for spending time in Mendocino and Fort Bragg. Nothing but good things to say. We’d definitely stay here again.

This is a hidden gem in Mendocino County! Our second stay for a birthday celebration and we will definitely be back again. Close to both Mendocino and Fort Bragg but secluded on a beautiful property.

This was the perfect house for our stay. We felt right at home and the home was so comfortable. We were in town for the Santa Rosa Marathon and the house was an easy walking distance to the start line. We will absolutely stay here again the next time we are in the area!
